Melbourne Music Education is a team of dedicated and supportive music teachers located near Melbourne CBD. We aim to create inspiring and enjoyable music lessons for all ages. Tailoring to students’ needs; from learning music for leisure to preparation for the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) exams. We currently teach piano, violin and singing lessons near Melbourne CBD.
Students also receive an opportunity to perform to their family and friends, with students’ concerts organised 2 to 4 times a year.
Ann Anh-Thu Nguyen is an emerging Melbourne based Pianist and Music Educator. Born in Sydney, Ann learnt piano early with her mum at home then started piano lessons at the age of 6 and violin lessons at the age of 8. She has performed solo and in chamber ensembles in various concerts. Ann won many piano awards and Eisteddfod prizes in Sydney, greater NSW and Melbourne.
Ann received AMusA (Associate Diploma in Music, Australia) in 2007 and in 2010, she achieved LMusA (Licentiate Diploma in Music, Australia) in Piano Performance. In 2012, Ann was awarded FTCL (Fellowship Diploma in Piano Performance, Trinity College of Music, London). She subsequently completed the Bachelor of Music degree within two years (instead of three years) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, The University of Melbourne, with First Class Honours. During these years she was awarded five prestigious scholarships for excellence. These include the Francis Quinn Arts Encouragement Award (2014), the DW Gardiner Fund Award (2016), Florence Menk Meyer Prize (2016), Madeleine Orr Scholarship (2017) and the Grace Funston Scholarship (2018).
