Simply Music is a revolutionary, Australian-developed piano learning method that offers a breakthrough in music education. This remarkable approach has students of ages 7 - 97 playing great-sounding contemporary, classical, gospel, blues and accompaniment pieces - immediately - from their very first lessons!

Think of Simply Music as being like learning to talk. We all talked for years before we learned how to read and spell. It's the same with our program. We delay the music reading process and start by showing you how to play fantastic music -immediately.
Beginning students, with no attention on having to read music, are free to relate directly to the piano, and within months easily and naturally begin to establish a 'hands-on' and personal 'feeling' for the instrument as they build a play-list that includes popular, classical, blues and jazz styles, as well as develop the ability to play chords and modern accompaniments.

Unlike learning by rote, this program is tactile, experiential and multi-sensory, with students being physically, visually and aurally fully absorbed. After building a repertoire of 30 to 50 pieces covering a broad range of musical styles, students go on to learn how to read music, their ability to play so well providing a powerful foundation for learning the more formal aspects of music education.

    Amazing Teacher
    I have been going to bernie for about 3 months now and I have had the best time learning to play the piano at my time of life. (older) She is fun to learn with very engaging and patient. she makes it so much fun it isn't a chore. I look forward to going home to practice what we have done during my lesson. This method of learning along with an amazing beautiful teacher makes it seem so much easier. And FUN

    Bernie makes piano lessons fun
    My son has been learning piano with Bernie for over three years. She is a fabulous influence in his life and together they have a lot of fun making music. She is an excellent teacher. Very engaging, encouraging and patient. I thoroughly recommend her to any parent who has a child wanting to learn music.

    Patient and Effective Piano Teacher!
    My daughter has been learning traditional piano for a couple of years. I could tell her interest was waning until we found Bernie (a simply music teacher) who introduced us to the concept of learning to play first before reading music - just as a child would learn to speak before they learn to read and write. Within weeks, my daughter was playing pieces from classical, jazz, blues etc.,. We have been with Bernie for nearly 2 years now. Apart from playing the piano, my daughter is composing, improvising and transposing songs. If you're looking for an alternative music approach to piano playing, I'd highly recommend Bernie as she is patient, encouraging and inspiring.

    Great teacher
    I’ve been learning piano with my teacher, Bernie Kee, for nearly two years, and am very happy that I found her. She is always supportive and helpful, answering my queries outside of the session when I’m stuck with a problem. She’s also very enthusiastic about music and her student’s progress. I look forward to my lessons every week.

    Excellent Piano Teacher
    Bernadine was my piano teacher for over 7 years. She got to know me really well which enabled her to tailor her teaching to me personally. She was always helpful at breaking down pieces into their simplest parts and then working our way back up to learn new songs as quickly and enjoyably as possible. She was always flexible with times due to my shifting after school schedule and it was a pleasure to be her student.
