Working with Children Certified

Does your kid have gaps in their knowledge that is causing them to struggle to keep up in Math class? Is your child getting a near failing grade?
I believe that for difficult subjects it is the job of the tutor to break the problem down into bite size steps for the student to grasp. This may not always happen at college and requires a good private tutor. As your tutor, I would assist in explaining concepts you may have difficulty understanding or simply improve your ability, knowledge or motivation for whatever topic is needed. I really enjoy tutoring and have tutored students in Math subjects of all levels the last few years.
I am patient, and I spend a lot of time trying to identify the learning gaps that you are facing. The learning gaps help me understand why you/your kid may be struggling with a certain concept. Through use of multiple sample problems of increasing difficulty, I can help fix the learning gap and get you up to speed in the topic. I have helped several students improve their failing grade to a B/B+ grade; and other average students to a A+.
As for my background, I am an Engineer with 5 years of work experience. I graduated with a Masters' in Mechanical Engineering from one of the top universities in the US (Georgia Tech).
I tutor high school and engineering students in math and calculus. I also tutor for programming and engineering courses.
All session are online at the moment.

    If you are struggling with word problems, learn how to break down the problem into sentences and start solving them. You can even draw them out to better understand them. If you have a tutor, have him/her change the order of the word problems to have a different meaning so you can challenge yourself.
